As transformações e as memórias do lugar: um estudo na comunidade Linha Santa Cruz, Município de Cruzaltense/RS

Abstract

The process of understanding the relations of appropriation and transformation of the natural environment by corporations is an ongoing challenge for Geography. Based on this assertion, the paper analyzes the transformations occurring in the Community Line Santa Cruz, County of Cruzaltense-RS, from the subjects that comprise characterizing the historical formation of the Community, as well as describe the transformations that have occurred there and highlight the significance the community has for the subjects that compose it. This is a qualitative phenomenological nature of work by examining a rural community in order to meet the research objectives. Initially, documentary research to then start an interview with nine families from the community chosen by field observation in order to rescue their origins as well as describing the cultural, economic and social aspects of families was performed. For the interviews a roadmap was performed with a pre-established structure. During the interview, notes and audio recordings also allowed previously were performed, and photographic records. The development work was given from the analysis of the speech of individuals who live and experience the place through the organization and transcription of the interviews, highlighting passages that appear in situations, expressions key, significant reactions, relevant information for the preparation of research and use of excerpts of interviews in citation format. From the analysis of the collected data revealed that one of the cultural aspects of religion is highlighted, in addition to strong community organization for running events. Regarding changes in the community, the profound changes in work over the years is highlighted. It can be concluded that the Santa Cruz line is staffed by people who have affinities, belonging and identity, which was established codes of conduct, morals and ethics based on the customs of the local population in order to organize the community.
