Abstract: The fertilizer seeding machines are composed of different parts, obtaining relevant In this work the compacted mechanism is highlighted, since seeder Used in direct seeding are usually equipped with Incorporation of the fertilizer and double disc for seed deposition. However there are other Components that influence the characteristics of the sowing bed and in the establishment Of cultures. The compacting mechanism of the soil is responsible for the closure of the groove, Pressing the soil on the seed. Among the models available in the market, the Used is the "V" wheel system, which has a series of Opening of the wheels and the pressure exerted on the ground. The present experiment was carried out in the Experimental area of the Federal University of the South Frontier - Campus Cerro Largo, in a Red clay latosol with clay texture. The productivity was evaluated in different Angle and pressure settings of a "V" density mechanism. The results Indicate that the engine setting settings did not influence The corn yield, not differing from the control (without the mechanism), this Because the average productivity of the experiment varied minimally, with no variation Statistically speaking. The average productivity index was 9.43 kg of maize harvested Per plot of 3x9m. The productivity indexes were high, varying between 198 and 277 Bags of corn per hectare per plot harvested, well above the average of the State of Rio Grande Of the South for the same harvest that was 109 bags / ha. The high productivity is due to the climate, With frequent rainfall, and adequate soil fertilization.
