Contribuição da literatura para a aprendizagem na educação infantil

Abstract

The present article is a final work of the graduation course in Pedagogy at the Universidade Federal da FronteiraSul – UFFS. This study has the objective to understand the contribution of the children’s Literature to the children’s learning in the Fundamental Education. The methodology used was the bibliographic research. We know how important the children’s Literature is to the learning and to the child’s development as well. However, many educational institutions end up neglecting on the fundamental role children’s Literature has. In this sense, we see the need to offer children the opportunities to be in contact with children’s Literature in a pleasurable way. It is known that children’s Literature plays a key role that goes beyond the systematic learning. It should also provide the opportunity to develop the students’ critical and creative reflection. From these considerations, it is possible to believe that children’s Literature contributes a lot to the formation of a reader, especially when the literary cause investigations, thus stimulating curiosity and providing the production of the new knowledge to children. Thus, our aim is to rescue and show the importance of children’s Literature in the context of early childhood education, to know the history of childhood and describes the role of a teacher as mediator in the classroom.
