Abstract

Pedagogical practice in childhood education can contribute a lot in the domain of human movement. So, the present study has the main objective to discuss the importance of the motor development in the first years of the childhood (1-3 years old). In this sense, we have the following objectives: understand about the physical growth and its features and conceptualize the factors that comprehend the functional progress of body with activities as examples. For this, we are going to talk with Gallahue and Ozmum (2005) and Tani (1998, 1987) about the child motor development. The findings show that our education system reflects with plausibility the almost custodial care of our students of early childhood education are receiving. For many teachers it seems propitious to succeed in the control of the bodies, because just like this it is possible to create an ideal model of student. In this perspective emerges the importance of pedagogical practices that can contribute with the development and improvement of basic motor skills of children in kindergarten.
