O impacto da construção da barragem de Itá no fechamento da escola do campo do município de Aratiba

Abstract

This work has for objective to analyze the impacts of construction of the Itá for the population concerned, in particular to the closure of the local school, in the community of Lajeado Rio Novo gold. In your methodology adopted for qualitative research of exploratory character. In the context of populations affected by dams, the subjects had their lives affected by the imposition of Itá hydroelectric power plant, causing environmental impacts, material, emotional and social production. The data were collected from an empirical approach, accomplished through semi-structured interview and documentary research from internal documents, booklets, newspapers and articles produced by MAB, in addition to publications on the website of the movement and the interview with teacher D. Highlights the importance of organization, mobilization and resistance to achieve some accomplishments that enabled ease part of the project. Among the impacts, the closing of the school was the depth and can see how it affected the families and the community. As the relevance of the study, points out that the history of this researcher is also part of the campaign against dams.
