Análise das técnicas de gestão dos processos produtivos utilizadas pelo setor agroindustrial da região oeste catarinense na busca pela sustentabilidade ambiental

Abstract

Being the agro-industrial sector of the meats segment valorous for the Western region of Santa Catarina, due to its importance for the regional development and growth, the present study had as objective to analyze the management techniques of the productive processes used by the agro-industrial sector of the Western region of Santa Catarina, searching for the environmental sustainability. This study, which is characterized by its qualitative approach and descriptive purposes, performed by means of multihulls in medium and large agroindustries. The results show that among the techniques used by the agro-industrial sector of the meat segment, continuous improvement, Lean production and the PDCA method are highlighted, although none of them are used by all companies. It was verified that the bigger and more structured a company is, the more elements of Environmental Management are included in its processes. Thus, it was possible to perceive the phases of Environmental Management when comparing the elements implanted in the companies where it is noticed that companies A and B are in the second stage - Internal Integration of Environmental Management and Company C in the initial stage - Functional Specialization of Environmental Management. The studies reveal that sustainability is a tool of competitive differential and source of wealth for organizations.
