O lixo na comunidade indígena de Nonoai: possibilidade de construção de fundamentos de um saber social e escolar prudente

Abstract

This course conclusion work was carried out at Escola Indígena de Ensino Médio Joaquim Gatẽn Cassemiro, in the municipality of Nonoai / RS and reflects on the importance of nature care and the correct disposal of garbage. The research was carried out on the contribution of the Kaingang culture knowledge and the interference in the care with the preservation of the environment, allying the previous knowledge with the scientific knowledge in Nature Sciences. The methodological approach was qualitative, descriptive and exploratory. For the collection/construction of the data, the students from the indigenous community of the municipality of Nonoai-RS were used as sources of information. The main objective was to research and carry out actions on waste disposal in this community. The results are positive in relation to the actions carried out in the school. The dialogues with the students about the Kaingang culture and its relationship with nature enabled them to be aware of the correct disposal of garbage, and to be careful with the preservation of nature, perceiving a reduction in the incorrect disposal of garbage in the indigenous community.
