Imagens do brincar: um olhar para a transição da educação infantil para o ensino fundamental

Abstract

The present research is based in Childhood Studies and it aims the playing in Kindergarten to Elementary School. The study aims, at first, to investigate how the development of the culture of playing is in that transition phase. It is a qualitative research, which mark ethnographical research, which was an immersion in the school context, where it was realized three visits in a week, totaling six visits in a Centro de Educação Infantil CEIM and in a State School, both of them located in Chapecó. Through this participative observation, all the leisure moments were identified. The researchers took pictures and made field notes. According to the data collection analyses, it was verified that: in the Elementary school, the playing is reduce during the routine in the classroom and the process of learning is aimed to the literacy. On the other hand, in Kindergarten, the activities are conducted in a very leisure way and the playing is a routine in the daily school life of the children. To have a real transition among these scholar steps, these playing moments, which are so intense in Kindergarten, it would be needed to continue in the first grade of the Elementary School, in a way to respect the children and to recognize the specific needs of the childhood.
