Abstract

The present work presents an analysis of the BNCC in practice – Guide for implementation in Educational Management published by Associação Nova Escola and Fundação Lemann, given the implications for school managers to meet the demands for the implementation of the National Curricular Common Base (BNCC). To this end, through bibliographic and documentary research we initially recovered specific aspects of school management in the specific literature, as well as the BNCC to understand how the organizations' discourse presents itself and impacts the role of the manager. It also seeks to identify how school management and the role of the manager are understood by the BNCC and relate the findings in that Guide. To this end, in addition to reading materials from the Ministry of Education (MEC) and legal documents, the Guide's analysis is considered, ascertaining in this document the attributions of the managers of basic education schools. It is considered that the published issue is a tool to spread ideas and practices in education, and in this sense, the results obtained allow us to understand that the Guide treats the implementation of the BNCC as a way of qualifying education, however without emphasizing the character democratic provision foreseen in the legislation, which is possibly because the publication and distribution of the issue are financed by non-governmental organizations.
