Educação superior e a autonomia das mulheres: um estudo de caso da terra indígena de Mangueirinha

Abstract

This work aims to understand the influence of higher education on the autonomy of Kaingang women from the Indigenous Land of Mangueirinha, Passo Liso village, municipality of Chopinzinho/PR. The intention was to verify whether higher education helps to overcome limitations and stereotypes and to achieve autonomy, so that women can occupy positions and have greater participation in village decisions. The methodology used was qualitative in nature, with seven (7) semi-structured interviews. It was also a case study. In this sense, the first chapter will contextualize the Passo Liso village and the Indigenous Land of Mangueirinha. Next, we will delve into the concepts of autonomy, indigenous women, higher education, and culture. Finally, the third chapter presents the empirical research and the reflections about the construction of autonomy based on the university education of the women of the aforementioned Indigenous Land.
