Abstract

This article brings a reflection about the problematics that involves the realization of the Participative Class Council, in a democratic space that makes effective the participation of all the individuals in the planning and in the evaluation of the educational journey of the class. The work analises the possibilities of the Class Council constitute itself in a democratic instrument of the planning and evaluation of the educational process. The investigative practice was focused in bibliographic references to ascertain the importance that the school management assumes to the implement of the participative Class Council and its importance in the evaluative process of the school. It also analises how occurs the participation of everybody in the Class Council and it shows mechanisms that guarantee the participation of students and parents in this school environment. The results emphasize that the Class Council is a space that provides the relation between the school and the community, however, the school needs to be organized in a democratic way to guarantee the participation of students and parents in the activities developed in the school.
