Quando as crianças se encontram com a natureza: os espaços externos e suas possibilidades na educação infantil

Abstract

The present research conducts an analysis of studies and research about outer spaces and the relationship with nature in early childhood education, paying attention to aspects such as pedagogical planning, the intentionality of propositions and the meanings produced by children in their experiences in those spaces. Therefore, it was conducted a bibliographical research of a qualitative nature, developed through the search and analysis of selected researches on the platforms of the National Association of Graduate Studies and Research in Education (ANPEd) with the Working Group 07 - Children's Education from 0 to 6 Years (GT07), from Revista Zero-a-Seis (NUPEIN/UFSC) and from Google Scholar, in order to analyze the contributions of scientific production in the field. From the selection and detailed analysis of the researches, a certain scarcity of scientific production was found, within the scope of the 3 platforms in the delimited period, regarding the relationship of babies and very young children with outer spaces and with nature. Whilst there are indications about this field gaining recognition in terms of its possibilities in early childhood education, including the construction of significant experiences, the expansion of imagination and the construction of environmental awareness. There are also indications that the pedagogical planning needs to contemplate diverse, regular and prolonged experiences in outer spaces of institutions, expanding and diversifying children's experiences. Considering the path taken, it is possible to say that, despite the interest involving the field, the need for expansion and deepening of the research in the field is indisputable.
