Educação holística na aprendizagem de crianças

Abstract

Guided by an ecosystemic vision, holistic education is the path to a new educational era, where it values the child as a whole, nurturing knowledge that springs from the inside out. Currently, children who are in school stage are suffering collective symptoms of anxiety and fear, an insecurity haunts their hearts. These symptoms affect their educational and social development. Based on this, we sought to develop interventions with holistic practices, with a group of children in the fourth year of the Early Years of a Municipal Elementary School. Among the practices developed and those that stood out the most and were accepted by the children are deep breathing, medicinal plants and Reiki therapy. In view of the results obtained, it was found that holistic practices contribute to children's learning and mental health. During the interventions, cooperation, solidarity, and care for the other prevailed. The vast majority of children enjoyed the practical proposals, including the making of natural incense, sachets made with medicinal plants, foot baths and construction of a medicinal plant bed. Thus, holistic education can transform the whole brings hope of building a new practicable educational paradigm.
