Análise da circulação do tema armas nucleares em vídeos de divulgação científica

Abstract

Science communication is increasingly present in our daily lives, through different forms such as videos, texts, audios, among other forms. In this work, our objective was to analyze how the theme related to nuclear weapons and bombs circulates in science communication videos, specifically on the YouTube platform. This analysis was performed using the methodology of netnography combined with Bardin's Content Analysis (2011). As a result, we obtained units of analysis referring to the approach of concepts, relationship with media aspects, use of schemes and historical approach. From these analyzes it was possible to understand how the subject related to nuclear weapons is treated in four different videos, not only the subject specifically, but all the concepts related to it. The four videos presented a discussion on the same subject, but with varied topics and approaches. We also point out some potentialities for using these videos in the classroom, to enhance the discussion of this subject.
